The Wells Comedy Festival is back this May with another laughter-filled weekend to Somerset featuring some of the UK’s best and biggest names in comedy.

Shows announced for 2023 include Off Menu podcast co-host James Acaster, Netflix, Taskmaster and Live at the Apollo star Phil Wang, triple threat and star of The Last Leg and 8 Out of 10 Cats Rosie Jones, Radio 5 Live host and vibe-magnet John Robins, Live at the Apollo star Kiri Pritchard-McLean, Taskmaster star Mark Watson and a very special edition of Richard Herring’s Leicester Square Theatre Podcast.

A host of festival favourites return including Tim Key, Lou Sanders, Jen Brister, Jamali Maddix, Spencer Jones, Paul Foot and Esther Manito, alongside Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Jordan Brookes, and nominees Colin Hoult and Jessica Fostekew.

We also have incredible acts making their Wells debuts, including 2022’s Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Sam Campbell, Live At The Apollo’s Sikisa, Would I Lie To You? star Stephen Bailey and Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club star Chloe Petts. Plus musical comedy duo Shelf present The Kids’ Show, a fun filled hour of sketches and silliness on Saturday morning.
